Deadlines

How order and pickup deadlines work

drizzlemail tracks two types of deadlines to help you never miss an order or pickup.

Order deadlines

Amazon invites can arrive on any day now. drizzlemail labels the batch by the UK weekday the invite arrived, then sets the order deadline 3 days later:

Invite arrival timeOrder deadline
Before noon UK3 days later at 7:45pm UK
Noon or later UK3 days later at 7:45am UK
Weekday batches

A Monday night invite is shown as a Monday batch and expires Thursday morning at 7:45am UK.

How drizzlemail calculates batches

When an invite email arrives, drizzlemail checks the timestamp:

  • The batch is the UK weekday of the invite timestamp
  • Invites before noon expire 3 days later at 7:45pm UK
  • Invites at noon or later expire 3 days later at 7:45am UK

Pickup deadlines

Once an item is ready at the locker, you have 3 days to collect it. The countdown starts when Amazon sends the "ready for collection" email.

Tip

You can mark items as collected before the pickup email arrives. drizzlemail will confirm the pickup automatically when the email comes through.

Deadline colors

The countdown timer changes color based on urgency:

ColorMeaning
GreenPlenty of time remaining
YellowLess than 24 hours
RedLess than 6 hours - urgent!

What happens when deadlines pass?

Missed order deadline

If you don't order an item before the deadline:

  • The invite moves to the Archive section
  • It's marked as "Expired"
  • If you order it anyway, drizzlemail will restore it automatically

Missed pickup deadline

If you don't collect an item:

  • Amazon may return it to the seller
  • The item remains in the "Ready" section until drizzlemail receives a return email
