Privacy Mode
Blur sensitive information when sharing your screen
Privacy mode blurs sensitive information in drizzlemail, useful when sharing your screen or taking screenshots.
What gets blurred?
When privacy mode is enabled:
- Email addresses - Recipient names and addresses
- Product names - Item titles from Amazon
- Order IDs - Amazon order numbers
- Product images - Thumbnails are hidden
Tip
Privacy mode is perfect for bug reports, screen recordings, or demos where you want to show the interface without exposing personal details.
Enabling privacy mode
Toggle privacy mode from the sidebar:
- Click the Settings icon in the sidebar header
- Toggle Privacy Mode on
- The interface will immediately blur sensitive data
The toggle state is remembered in your browser.
When to use privacy mode
Consider enabling privacy mode when:
- Sharing your screen in meetings or calls
- Recording videos for tutorials or demos
- Taking screenshots for bug reports
- Showing drizzlemail to someone new
Limitations
Privacy mode:
- Only affects the visual display
- Doesn't encrypt data in transit
- Resets if you clear browser data
- Only applies to your current device
Note
Privacy mode is a UI feature for screen sharing. Your data is always encrypted in transit and at rest regardless of this setting.
